Description

When Burgundy was still a duchy, long ago, there was, in addition to the -now well-known- Côte de Beaune and Côtes de Nuits, also the Côte de Dijon. Here wines were produced that were more highly valued than, for example, Gevrey or Chambolle. It was the phylloxera , the rise of cheap Languedoc wines and the First World War that put an end to the famous sub-region. Now, many years later, we can taste the potential grandeur of the Coteaux de Dijon again. This Pinot Noir gives fine fruit impressions such as berry and cherry , but also has a clear terroir touch, soft spiciness and something pleasantly lactic, next to very fine and precise tannin. Energetic and lively, a memorable wine.
