Vineyard du Loup Blanc
8 products
Vignoble du Loup Blanc is the life's work of Alain Rochard, Nicolas Gaignon, Carine and Laurent Farre. The 18 hectares of vineyards are located on the border of Aude and Herault, in the AOC Val de Cesse, a wild nature reserve surrounded by garrigue, pine forests and ravines.
The winemakers strive for the best possible harmony and expression of land and grape in their wines. Each harvest is done manually and the winemaking process is as artisanal as possible. The grapes are brought to the cellar in boxes and are completely destemmed. Fermentation takes place in small concrete vats, also to prevent tannins from becoming dominant.
The youngest vines were planted in 1990 and the oldest in the 1960s, with the exception of Carignan, whose plantings date back to 1897(!).
