Description

100% Serine, the oldest vines were planted in 1941. Serine is an ancient grape and related to Syrah and Viognier. This Coteaux de Tupin can best be described as a classic muse. Elegant and refined, charming and yet full of power, with phenomenal perseverance. Notes of black fruit, violets and liquorice, Serine at its best.

In the vineyard:
Orchards located in Coteaux de Tupin, spread over 1 hectare . Terroir of gneiss and rich in quartz. Orchards located to the south-east on slopes of 50°. Orchards planted between 1941 and 1997. Harvest by hand. Organic, biodynamic farming .
In the cellar:
Grapes are stored immediately after harvest in a room at 8°C for 24 hours so that the skins become tighter and firmer. Carbonic maceration for 15 days on the skins and its own natural yeasts followed by 24 months maturation in 10-year-old oak barrels from the Jupille forest. Unfiltered. Without added sulphites.
