Description
The 'basic' Valpolicella from Wild Nature is a wine to drink young. It is a light red wine with a subtle bouquet of cherries, roses and herbs. Lively, dry, soft, slightly tannic and with elegant bitters.
The winery where Wild Nature's red wines are made is located in the hilly eastern part of Valpolicella, near Verona. The area around the estate is an oasis of wilderness, full of original vegetation and animals. Wild Nature is a pioneer in the field of organic grape cultivation, having been working in this way since 1974. The winery emphasises the care and respect they feel for the soil through their labels, which depict all sorts of wild animals that inhabit their estates.
Preserving biodiversity is an important part of the winery's philosophy. They have worked to create a biotope around the farm (by planting hedges, ponds, copses and tree-lined banks) that encourages the natural presence of all kinds of animals. There are many hares, foxes, pheasants, ducks and other migratory birds around the farm.
