Description
Fresh, young and lively. The classic muscadet with the oyster. Perfectly balanced and high in minerality that gives the wine a fine structure and saltiness. Golden yellow in color the very ripe grapes and aromas of white flowers, combined with fresh citrus tones.
In the north-western part of the Loire, near Nantes, lies the appellation Muscadet S&M, not to be confused with the sweet Muscat wines. The official name of the grape is Melon de Bourgogne, which has nothing to do with Burgundy.
The cheerful Jo (very recognizable because of his gigantic moustache) is a pioneer in biodynamics in the Loire. He has been working organically since 1999 and received the ECOCERT bio certificate in 2002. His wines are crystal clear and some cuvées can also age well.
“ Jo Landron remains one of his region's most conspicuous over-achievers, and his name (or that of one of the domaines with which he is affiliated) on the label a virtual guarantor of fine quality .” David Schildknecht
