In 1989 Antonio Capelli and Mario Pirondini took over the 35 hectare estate. Situated on the hills of Monteveglio, near Bologna, they switched completely to organic farming. Working more slowly and environmentally consciously, with respect for the land, nature and culture, as in the earlier years. A fact that colleagues, friends and family thought they were completely crazy for. Antonio and Mario with their 'crazy' project. Nevertheless, that 'crazy project' formed the birth of Corte d'Aibo. Producing products that tell the story of the area, terroir and passion
The greater part of the production is dedicated to the native vines, the Grechetto Gentile, from which the Pignoletto DOC and the Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG are born, undoubtedly the most interesting white wines of Bologna. Fresh and tasty and sparkling, with great structure and charm.
