Description
The niece of the "Cuisine", born from a disastrous year in which Nicolas had so few grapes left due to frost and hail that he bought grapes from a winemaker friend in the Gaillac in order to be able to produce some wine. It was a great success, Nicolas now makes several wines with grapes grown in the South. Just as light and juicy as the Cuisine but then sultrier in fruit.
The family estate Domaine Grosbois is located in the Chinon wine region, in the heart of the Loire Valley. The wine cellar is an old 15th century farmhouse converted into a winery. The estate itself covers a total of 12 hectares on the high slopes of Panzoult in Chinon. Owner Nicolas has been working organically for many years and is now 100% biodynamic (DEMETER certified). The vines are 40 years old and have a yield of 35 hectoliters per hectare.
Together with his childhood friend Philippe Mesnier, they started Domaine des Hauts Baigneux and the 'Les Tetes' wines in Azay-le-Rideau, Loire.
