Description
This Verduzzo takes you: from soft violets, to flower honey to a full liquorice flavour. With a late harvest mid-October this wine is full, compact and complex, with a great viscosity. Long finish.
Ferdinando Zanusso makes clean and pure vin nature. With yields of only 20hl/ha, from vines of 60-80 years, he uses only spontaneous wild yeasts, no clarification, no filtration and long maturation in stainless steel tanks and barrique. For this he uses exclusively the old indigenous grape varieties of his region Friuli. His wines are characterized by four different grape varieties and the five different characters of the terroir.
Friuli is located in the far northeast of Italy and borders Austria and Slovenia. The region is known for its fine white wines from Friulano, Ribolla and Malvasia grapes.
