Description
Orange Romorantin, we don't see that often. With a long maceration in amphora gives an extra degree of complexity and texture to the Romorantique, without giving up freshness and minerality. Floral with notes of honey, dried fruit, quince and white flowers with a minty finish. Elegant, layered tannins and very expressive. Beautiful Orange Cheverny.
Only produced in small quantities
Father Roger Tessier started planting vines next to his asparagus fields in 1961. Son Philippe took over the management of the vineyards in 1981 & expanded the wine growing to 24 hectares, divided over 2 appellations, Cheverney and Cour-Cheverny. Since 1998 the vineyards have been farmed organically, the Ecocert certificate followed in 2002. Philippe grows Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Côt, Pinot Noir, Gamay and of course the local Romorantin.
