Pinot blanc & pinot gris blend from the PURE line of Weingut dr. Brüder Becker. Complete, Vin méthode. nature, Strict selection of grapes, spontaneous fermentation, unclarified, unfiltered and without added sulphites. The Orange with 3 weeks of cold skin maceration also shows the wonderfully fresh aroma of Rheinhessen. Lightly candied apricots with aromas of chervil and thyme with a slightly clayey and salty background. Wonderfully refreshing with soft, elegant tannins.
Very tasty as an aperitif, with a light goat's cheese and earthy vegetables

In the vineyard: Pinot Blanc vines 20 years old, Pinot Gris vines 50 years old. Soil consisting of loess from the Rhein river banks, around Dienheim Tafelstein & Dienheim. Orchards located on the east. Late harvest. Organic farming, harvest by hand.
In the cellar: Cold alcoholic and malo fermentation in open tanks. Grapes completely destemmed, 3 weeks whole-cluster maceration. Pigéage every 14 days for 4 months. 18 months maturation sur-lies in barrique. Unfiltered, without addition of So2.

Dienheim is a small wine region within Rheinhessen. Weingut Brüder Dr. Becker has been run for five generations. However, the first generations did not yet make a living directly from wine growing. The family loved this small wine village, the Rheinhessen way of life, and continued to expand the winery over time. Where the men did the preliminary work, the women took over from them. Today, the estate is run by the Pfeffer-Müller family, the daughter line of, and covers an area of 11 ha. The wine comes from the Dienheimer Tafelstein vineyards, which extend over the terraces along the Rhine. Here they mainly grow Riesling and smaller plots of Weissburgunder, Grauburgunder, Sylvaner, Schreube and Spätburgunder.
For a few years now, they have also been carrying the PURE line, Full Vin méthode nature, Strict selection of grapes, spontaneous fermentation, unclarified, unfiltered and without the addition of sulphites. This development began within the winery almost 40 years ago. Weingut dr. Brüder Becker is therefore also one of the pioneers in organic and biodynamic viticulture in Germany and the first VDP winery with organic certification.
