Description
The Palistorti Rosso is a powerful blend of Sangiovese (70%, limestone marl), Merlot (20% clay) and Syrah (10%, sandstone), completely biodynamic. Ripe and soft tannins combined with elegant acids. 12 months in old barrels (French oak). Harmonious, complex and energetic!
In Tuscany, the great wines are known mainly from Montalcino, the Chianti-clasico municipalities and from Bolgheri. From the latter come the famous "Super-Tuscan" wines, Tuscan powerhouses that, against the rules of the DOC, consist of non-indigenous grape varieties. Often a blend of Sangiovese with French varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Tenuta di Valgiano is located in the picturesque Lucca (DOC Colline Lucchesi), which is less known by name than Bolgheri but is certainly not inferior in quality!
