Description
Very benevolent Muscadet, elegant, almost flirty, with the beloved salty and a discreet oak edge. Fresh and delicate on the nose, well-ripened fruit on the palate and a slightly spicy finish. Muscadet that can certainly be taken out for lobster, whole roasted fish and well-ripened cheeses.
In the north-western part of the Loire, near Nantes, lies the appellation Muscadet S&M, not to be confused with the sweet Muscaat wines. The official name of the grape is Melon de Bourgogne, which has nothing to do with Burgundy.
The cheerful Jo (very recognizable because of his gigantic moustache) is a pioneer in biodynamics in the Loire. He has been working organically since 1999 and received the ECOCERT bio certificate in 2002. His wines are crystal clear and some cuvées can also age well.
“ Jo Landron remains one of his region's most conspicuous over-achievers, and his name (or that of one of the domaines with which he is affiliated) on the label a virtual guarantor of fine quality .” David Schildknecht
