Description
Aromatic natural wine from Cheverny. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc with Chardonnay and Orbois (a SB/Chardonnay blend is common in Cheverny blanc wines). Full of minerality & floral notes.
Father Roger Tessier began planting vines next to his asparagus fields in 1961. Son Philippe took charge of the vineyards in 1981 & expanded the wine growing to 24 hectares, divided over 2 appellations, Cheverney and Cour-Cheverny. Since 1998, the vineyards are organically farmed, the Ecocert certificate following in 2002. Philippe grows Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Côt, Pinot Noir, Gamay and of course the local Romorantin.
