Description
Argile Blanc is a wine from 40-year-old Chardonnay and Mondeuse Blanche vines, planted at high altitude (450 m) on very steep slate slopes, vinified with some Jacquère from Apremont (limestone) and then aged for nine months in fiberglass.
It is a generous wine, fresh as a mountain stream in the Alps with a salty richness and some smokiness to balance the freshness. You taste the Savoie tension of warm days and cold nights, giving you ripe citrus fruits on a base of mineral, silky acidity. Perfectly balanced.
