Description
After the great success of the 'Gamuto', here is 'Somentino', a red-white co-maceration of Cinsault and Vermentino. Subtle, incredibly juicy with a nice bouquet of dried flowers and summer red fruit. Drink slightly chilled, nothing more to do. Just in time for the onset of spring.
In Azay-le-Rideau, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, you will find Nicolas Grosbois, Philippe Mesnier, Baptiste, and Vivien, Les Tètes. Four friends, four wine lovers and makers. A project, simply based on the idea of only making wines that they like to drink together, on those nice evenings with friends. Within France, from north to south, east to west, grapes are collected from friendly winegrowers. These are then put together in unusual blends to create wines that they all like and that do justice to the grapes of the winegrowers. A playful approach to vinification, so to speak.
Nicolas Grosbois and Philippe Mesnier have been making wine together since 2013 at their 12-hectare Domaine des Hauts Baigneux, also in Azay-le-Rideau. The wine from Les Tètes is also ultimately made in Nicolas' cellar, in Panzoult.
